All this fuss over this comment, ", If you have premarital sex, you could get AIDS".

That is a true statement.. and that statement does not imply that premarital sex is the only way to get aids. It implies that premarital sex is one way of potentially getting aids.

If I said "getting if you get shot in the head, you could die" then you saying "You could still die by getting cancer" is not a good counterargument. That is equivalent to what you and your bud have done here.

First of all I don't like the way it seems that your putting DUI and murder with premarital sex.

Second if a partner has an STD waiting until you're married to have sex will not help.

Nothing about what I said implies there is a pre-sin world. Biblically you can make a case that Satan is the prince of this world, and clearly satan's sin preceded mankind's. You can make a case for an "eden" or "oasis", but that idea suggests a peaceful place among an already fallen world.

Let's see, you conveniently assert "eventual" vs. "direct" causes of death even though neither passage makes this explicit distinction.

Further, you simply state that the wages of sin is death. Do you have ANY proof that there EVER existed a pre-sin world in which there was no death? In fact, death is a necessary condition for life. Has this obvious fact completely eluded you?

I reject the very concept of "sin".

"Sin" is something that offends god, it is in opposition to an order from god.

If god says "do not do X" and I do X, that is a sin.

I reject this idea, because I believe that we all have individual freedoms, and as long as my actions do not hinder the freedoms of others, I am free to do as I wish. In Spite of an Authority.

Pre-Marital Sex, for example, is something I have no problem with, and I see no rational reason to punish someone for this action. =^_^=
