I've trained both Wing Chun and Ju Jitsu. Both are great martial arts and very REAL.I found Ju Jitsu to be easier to pick up cos its closer to wrestling, whereas Wing Chun was completely different, even the basic punch is tricep based rather than shoulder/bicep. Saying that if you learn it from scratch its brilliant. Dont know about you but I have never had to fight another genuine martial artist in street combat. Either style is good to protect against violent fools. Both help your life.
I've been watching all of DePasquale's videos on here because his stuff is effective and real. I've been around long enough to know good martial arts when I see it. But Michael, get a real haircut! Your 'do is awful. Or is it a hairpiece? In that case, lose it. There's no place in a dojo for a head rug, lol.
I think it's more of a diolect. Soke says it's pronounced both ways (just for argument's sake). Just like the different pronounciations of coffee, dog or water. =)
I was reading back issues of MDP's magazine 3 months ago. Initially, I thought it was just a typo error. But, when I heard him saying so in this video ie Ukee instead of the Japanese pronunciation of Uke, I realized that it's more than just a misspelled error. By the way, I'm not flaming anyone. I'm just bewildered by the whole thing, that's all :)
What do you mean about the spelling of uke? What are you referring to? I've read the Mags and work closely with Soke Michael DePasquale Jr., and I haven't seen any wrong spellings. =) Thanks for taking notice. It is appreciated.

There is nothing wrong with exploring different approaches of self defense so that you can assimilate the usefull and deny the useless

why would that be unfortunate? You seem to be the unfortunate one. You should get on the mat with Soke and see how real it is.
