i love this! i imagine like an army of soldiers standing around, ready to go to war. or something. my critique: the part from 0:20 to 0:56, to me, is too... discrete. i think you should have some kind of falling off as notes end, and rising as notes start. not very pronounced mind you, very very subtle. it would sound more natural to me. i think. idk. this works. i might be wrong!

Cedrick, try turning down your french horns maybe 4db, avoid quantizing the percussion and is there a compressor or something on the master? It sounds a little pumpy. Otherwise sounds good!

I didn't even know what a compressor was back then...

Sibelius is a music notation program, it's not designed for making midi-based music with samples. So there is no comparison between Cubase and Sibelius, they are just entirely different programs.

@CedricKristian Actually you can use Kontakt with Sibelius and route the midi channels to the midi inputs of Sibelius thus using samples from an actual score editor. The downside would be getting the computer feel to it and less of the human element. Sure, Sibelius and Finale both have the "Human playback" option, but it really does not do a whole lot to take out the robotic-like style it plays with.

I know. What is really interesting here as well is that you could use free soundsets of Jonathan Loving to combine Kontakt with famous players like ewqlso gold, lass and many others. This way the midi data of those libraries would react as a real player would - it will be able to read staccato, pizzicato and dynamics like forte and piano. And this way you can configure it with those great sounding libraries!
