  • people documenting how mike was really tasty.

  • What a funny / sad story :) :(

  • LOL

  • Now that's a real dullahan.

  • my name is michael :)

  • @Reconised "It was determined that the axe had missed the carotid artery and a clot had prevented Mike from bleeding to death. Although most of his head was severed, most of his brain stem and one ear was left on his body. Since basic functions (breathing, heart-rate, etc.) as well as most of a chicken's reflex actions are controlled by the brain stem, Mike was able to remain quite healthy."

From Wikipedia. So yes, he still had his most of his brain.

  • That cant be right, without a brain u cant function right? Was he like undead or something xD luckily also without a brain u cant feel feelings, so he wasn't miserable :)

  • @MrMonkeyThumbsticks Agreed, "feeling" is a loosely defined term, with a broad number of valid applications.

  • @cptorangutang2 I guess it depends on how you define feeling. I see feeling as part of a conscious process which cannot occur unless there is a system to accommodate this process. The brain stem handles motor and sensory functions of the organism but there is no longer any part that can process any of the information.
