PKK Kurdish fighters in northern Iraq say their organisation has survived a recent assault by Turkish forces.

Turkey claims its offensive has severely damaged the PKK.

Al Jazeera has met with one former PKK fighter who, despite having doubts about the group, believes the organization is far from defeated.
