In this segment Jim discusses Love Won Out's stance that being gay and Christian are incompatible.
I'm a non believer and dont understand how a gay person can be Christian when the book that claim to be sacred condenms their sexuality

@GodCreatesGays2 to be christian . . to follow CHRIST . . its a individual walk . . each person has a unique and personal relationship with CHRIST . . all saved by Grace, empowered and lead in Grace, if the LORD asks us to give something up / over to Him, if He asks we must follow, it is for the Lord to direct our steps and ONLY THE LORD.

@uhscoyotes07 continues, "To be a true Christian, you must live (attempt to live since we're not perfect) like Christ did and accept what he accepted and reject what he rejected..."
And Jesus, who never said one word against homosexuality, even in the Bible, would be the first one to stand up for the gay community and denounce those who unfairly condemn them. Christ was about love. He'd understand the gays.

@uhscoyotes07 writes, "it does say in the Bible to shun evil in all it's forms, like sodomy (homosexuality)."
Prejudice is evil because it destroy people's lives. Homosexuality is a natural, normal part of life, as designed by God. Same sex partners sharing love enriches their lives. It's a good thing.
"God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for their evil and decadent ways of perverse sexual deeds. Read it."
This myth's been disproven. S&G is about inhospitality to strangers' suffering. Study it.

He didn't destroy them because they were gay. He destroyed both cities because 'there was no man alive in the city who was righteous.' God Himself said that if there were -one- righteous man alive in the city, he'd not destroy them. But he did. The people there were filled will all sorts of sin, and the emphasis on their sin wasn't the fact that they were homosexual, but that they were lusting for the three Angels who visited Lot.

@GodCreatesGays2 except that it does say in the Bible to shun evil in all it's forms, like sodomy (homosexuality). God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for their evil and decadent ways of perverse sexual deeds. Read it. But to continue, many people may live or not live by Christian virtues, but that does NOT necessarily make them Christians. To be a true Christian, you must live (attempt to live since we're not perfect) like Christ did and accept what he accepted and reject what he rejected....

@Sensiblehuman well said....

@Asterion17 except for the fact that He didn't make them gay. Big difference. Look at the story of Sodom and Gomorrah. Why would He create someone gay and then destroy them for the same reason? just sayin'....
