  • Great clip! I'd like to see the original on DVD if it's ever put out. The movie was filmed in Palm Beach County, and I think I was in that club in 1973. I have no idea where it was, or if the building still exists. Does anybody know?

  • Made a DVD of the VHS. The night club scene was shot at Trader John's in North Dade County across the street from the Junior College on NW 27 Ave. TJ's was a very popular lounge with the best live music around in the 60's.

  • anothe good dancing place was THE PLACE 135 st nw 7 ave.the Sheetah in Hialeah and THE WORLD in north biscayne boulevard ....mid 1960's

  • My lunch goes blaaaaahhh!!

  • I knew him, slightly, on a pro basis, only: was his piano technician for a short while. The story and the history can be found, at this time, by clicking my user name and going to the "url" home page, which is only a link to a discussion thread.

He won't much remember me, but, Mr. Casey, I remember you. And I remember Steve Alaimo, even better, for he made KC's band FLY, and Steve was a mentor to young self....

Great people: I have seen and met; am not "great", but I can say, I was "there".

  • I realize that MST3K had to cut some scenes out of movies but they should have left Rod's (Steve Alaimo) tune in. When They did Daddy-O, when Daddy-0 (Dick Contino) got on stage singing rock candy baby, they could have done a call-back to this scene. Just a thought... ;)

  • No one in that clip would DARE go into that neighborhood now...at least not into a club there.

And I'm glad you have a DVD of it but I was hoping it could be bought someday.

  • Ok, I've never been to any bars in North Dade, so that wasn't the club I thought it was. Thanks for the information.

  • It was filmed in Jupiter, North Miami, and West Palm Beach, I knew some of it looked familiar!

  • Heyyy!!! ahake your ass with the song " You don't love me"

    ;D
