  • Looking forward to Bladeslinger and Minecraft! The way you describe Bladeslinger, as an open-world Infinity Blade, is intriguing.

  • @iambored2006 Take note of what I said - I said I'd like to think it will be open-world, but without more details we won't know how the game plays ;)

  • ITS FRIDAY !

  • Appspy is awesome :)

  • @try2bcool Gosh, I can't tell you how unbelievably spot on you are about everything you said... I feel the exact same way about the entertainment industry and I'm 22. I wish I saw more comments like yours on YouTube...

  • @try2bcool dont worry, soon the young fresh generation that feels the same way as you will come in with fresh ideas for all types of entertainment. just "b cool" and wait awhile.

  • @AppSpy Eventually games shift from fringe concepts and in to the mainstream, which is where they're defined, repeated and eventually the tropes that make up the genre appear. Sure we can bemoan the true clones, but binary tower/creep mechanics are at least original enough to make it worthwhile for fans of TDs. If you dislike the genre, that's perfectly fine, but it shouldn't stop others from enjoying it and there's no reason they shouldn't either ;)

  • @try2bcool Age was the wrong word I was going for; the point was more that the argument is old and weak and takes a lot more space than that of a YouTube comment to truly discuss. There are two main points in play here: 1) There's LOTS of innovation happening, it's just not mainstream for the very reason that it's fringe concepts and ideas 2) Concepts that work are repeated until they hit the 'genre' portion of their life-cycle - it's the same for most media and drives the business backing them

  • @AppSpy

A: Yes, I'm old, my first new console was Pong.

B: Chess is probably the greatest game ever, that doesn't mean that changing the color or shape of the pieces would make it better, or make me want to play it again. :p

  • I'm really damn excited that there are more beautiful games coming out for iDevices like Dark Meadow and Bladeslinger. Hopefully the new iPhone that is going to be anounced soon will have 4G, then the iPhone can actually become closer being called a portable gaming console. :D
