In July of 2006 eskimofinn productions decided to enter a short documentary film competition. The brief was to record a journey and I decided to choose the London bus route 29 from Wood Green to Trafalgar Square. The route which a one time began in Palmers Green runs from Wood Green through Finsbury Park, Camden Town, Charing Cross Road and Leicester Square.

In the end I did not enter the competition because I did not like the footage but I thought that I would share the rushes with you as a part of my vlog. You will see however that I did use the section where the bus turns on to Charing Cross Road as part of the opening credits to the Montage Film Reviews Video Podcast which was launched in October of the same year. The footage at the end was taken as cut aways and is of places along the route. These are:

Wood Green
Camden Lock
Camden Town
Leicester Square
China Town
Finsbury Park

Another point of interest is the Borders Bookstore on Charing Cross Road where I spent many a happy hour, but sadly no longer exists.
