It's also worth noting that the president never referred to any American people as having gotten soft, just America itself. Which is true, the country haas fallen down a few global rankings in several categories, the ones Obama specifically talked about in the conversation. But if you see lower healthcare and education statistics as being indicative of flaws in the American people rather than the American government, then I think that says more about you.

Aside from poor people, of course. They're "dependent". Other than that, you have a lovely batch of sweeping generalizations there. Unless you can find me a single instance of a democrat labeling *all* millionaires and billionaires as "bad", then I'll eat my words

And technically all taxation is wealth redistribution, and I doubt you call yourself an anarchist.

  • @11111110 Democrats point to certain people they label as "bad" like millionaires and billionaires and then they point to poor people and say that those people are poor because of bad millionaires and billionaires are greedy. Then the Democrats advocate bad policies of wealth redistribution to take from the rich and give to the poor but that doesn't help the poor, it just makes them dependent on the welfare and it punishes the rich. Republicans don't label people good or bad.

  • @DOHC2L

"Republicans complain about the effects of bad policy has on America; Democrats complain about the ~causes~ of bad Americans in order to advocate for those bad policies"

    Elaborate on this.

  • @DOHC2L -- meh.

  • @the82spartans I'll put it another way: It's not what you said, it's how you said it. I pointed out an error in logic you made, but I didn't say your conclusions were wrong. You took my criticism as if I said your conclusions were wrong. I made an analogy to spelling errors so you would understand that I wasn't doubting your conclusions, I was hoping you'd see your error and learn from it. But instead you insist on turning this around on me. But in the end it wasn't me who erred, it was you.

  • @DOHC2L -- Dude, if you can't form an opinion after hearing a speech by POTUS then why do you break balls?

I advise you to look up the tone in the dictionary. Next, what do you think talking heads, like Newt, do on TV but discuss a number of things to break down a political speech to include its 'tone'. You simply are barking up the wrong tree. Yes, spelling errors on youtube... omg. The horrrors.

    Gods speed to you.

  • @the82spartans BTW I am conservative and NOT a fan of Jimmy Carter!!! I am a CONSERVATIVE.

  • @the82spartans "Quantify this: The speech Newt is refering to, and part of my orignal comment responding to another youtuber a month ago is the fact the tone"

How can I quantify the "tone" of someone's speech!? See, that's absurd. When something is associated with it's opposite, the association is said to be absurd. Quantification --> Tone is absurd. Truth --> Feelings is also absurd. Quit being absurd and I'll stop pointing out the absurd associations you make!!! No hard feelings!

  • @the82spartans I'm not disagreeing with you!!! Why are you repeating the argument to me? I never disagreed (nor agreed) with you! I merely pointed out a flawed reason you used. Again, something is true because it's true not because of the intention of the speaker. I was pointing out an error in your reasoning - you don't seem to understand that. If I had only pointed out a misspelling you had made you wouldn't be arguing facts with me. I only pointed out an error in your reasoning! DUH!
