Sarie Marais was adopted by Royal Marines Commando out of respect of those very brave Boer commandos who gave such a good account of themselves during the Boer War. The tune originated from the American Civil War. x-45 Cdo.R.M.

Nice but too bl**dy short!! There is something about a big military band that makes the hair stand up on the back of one's neck and combine that with Sarie Marais and it makes one miss the fairest Cape
