Bob Katter and Aidan McLindon were giving a media conference on coal seam gas on Thursday 1 December. They had arrived late, however, and their conference was soon drowned out by the cries of CFMEU/ETU members marching towards Parliament House calling for better pay.
Both Mr McLindon and Mr Katter then addressed the rally.
I guess there's a fine line between passion for job security and fair and reasonable pay, and xenophobia. It gets a fraction blurry with much of these guys but in the end while the cost of living rises so should the hourly rate. We're only going to dig ourselves into a hole if we import LABOUR for the purpose of cheaper wages.
