I agree with you. the picture I get can't be summed up by simply calling friend zone.

the image I see is a love for someone that extends beyond needing to be reciprocated to the same level. It's the feeling of wanting to be there for someone whether they're aware of your actions in their favor or not. you don't care if they recognize you for your deeds, you just want to minimize all of the trouble they might face even if its destructive to your well being.
