Who cares, they are both great cards.
I think ATI is more buck for money, while nVidia is more like "pay the price and u can have ur slice" ;P
But GTX295 is many months old. HD5970 is such an awesome card.

@george3dmax I know what your saying, but doesn't NVIDIA have PhysX, and why would you play this game without PhysX? or does Radeon also have PHysX like features?

it looks like that ATI has alot of high and low peaks while nvidia is alot more stable and has a lower minimum fps

Also naja wenn eine 4870 @ 1680x1050, very high 25-40 FPS packt
warum dann für ein wenig mehr auflösung viel mehr geld ausgeben?
Oder steckt da noch Antialiasing dahinter? Dann würd ich das verstehen :)

the thing i noticed on nvidia cards is that they don't have a sudden fall of fps...they're more stable than ati cards...i think this is where the nvidia technologies kick in :) .personally if i have an intel processor (which is the case ) I'd go with nvidia ...but an intel-nvidia high end system is pretty expensive :) . if u'd like a high-end system go with Amd-Ati.they're more cheaper .even the motherboards are cheaper ..lol :)

@ThaDK00 So doesn't gtx 295 get lower framerates than this?, it's crysis, a bad coded game known by almost everyone.

@NBAasDOGG Actually theres no reason in buying this video card due to the high power supply consumption. it has 2 cores but it's just a little bit faster than single core HD 5870 which has DX 11 and dx 10 equals nothing cause it's outdated. and also don't get GTX 295 unless you have a very high clocked quad core cpu clocked to 3.8 GHZ or 4.0 , either you'll experience a microstuttering issue which is simply a pain in the butt. go for 5870, i recommend it highly.

If you run this game on medium settings, this game looks nearly amazing, but runs nearly two times faster!!!
