hes not hyper compared to my gerbils... mine climb up the bars of the cage... and they climb out like he did but the door of theirs is about 1 foot from the ground because of the design of the cage...

This makes me so angry at how pet shops mis inform people.
Firstly you should have atleast 2 gerbils and secondly they need a tank in the region of 20 gallons with atleast 5 inches of bedding
