Always, always, always design a logo in BLACK and WHITE first - which is the most important part this 'tutorial' didn't mention.

If they had done it in B&W it would been obvious that the text and image behind would clash badly.

Why does that matter? imagine this company having to photocopy a few hundred time sheets or invoices - their logo would be a grey muddy mess. (judging by webgurus own website they really shouldn't be doing any sort of tutorials on design)

The drop is not on the center of the water circles. Its not real and symetry in logos is basic.
