A song from the perspective of the Great Harp of Ur which was housed in the Baghdad Museum. Professional looters destroyed the harp as US soldiers stood by without orders to hault the looting of the World's antiquities. Andy Lowings of Peterborough, UK has reconstructed the harp and has formed the Gold Lyre of Ur Project. Musicians from around the world request to play it. The heart knows why this story is important.

This song is great. the words tell a very interesting story, but thats my least favorite part. Even better, is the fact that the vocal and piano melodies played seperate are wonderful and complex, but they also complement each other very well. Great job!

Listening over and over again.
A true inspiration has touched this song!
By the way, song's mood reminds me of one song of Nile-To dream of Ur; and the musical presenting seemed familiar of something of Dead Can Dance. Though, this is just my associations, nothing more.
Anyway, this song can awake some ancient feeling in that souls, who was once connected to the Cradle of Mankind.

It makes me cry every time I hear it. One more proof that a true artist can transcend everything and remind us of our humanity!

Beautiful harmonies and melody - and beautiful singing. Your visuals complement this superbly - a wonderful taste of the meanings behind the words without being so much that they stop us imagining our own images. This must have taken you a considerable time to shoot, compose, perform and edit and yet also seems so natural and effortless - which of course means a lot has gone into it. Just wonderful - thank you for creating this amazing work.

This song wrote itself. I was moved by a Baghdad reporter's essay 4 years ago. He described his futile attempt to return an Ottoman Empire document to its home;the paper had wrapped around his leg while he was walking the Baghdad streets. Sounded like the world's end.I followed that story's thread to the Harp. Seems many were following that thread. Andy's harp and its story has the power to connect us with our universal human story minus the political heat. May all attempts to this end prevail.
