I was asked to put some videos up of some of our Ford buses. More to come...

This one is a 65 passenger with lucas girling hydraulic brakes. It has 250,000 miles on it and it has a remanufactured engine in it. It is a cummins 5.9 and is very uncooperative when its cold. 1997 model, B800.

-I am not asking anyone to do this, but if you like the videos, I appreciate any help. I'd like to buy a camcorder for better video and sound quality.

  • Matt, we have a '97 TC with a not-so-great ISB in it as well. It doesn't do well starting in the cold. I preferred the '91 TC's Cummins over the '97, and the 24-valves more than those.

  • @09ThomasEF- the 97' would have the same engine as the 91'. I don't know why, but some of these fords start better than others. I think it depends on how they were cared for and mileage, but none of them like cold. Some more than others. Btw, 97 is just a 6BT. ISB is "interact system b" (computer controlled), and 24 valve, beginning in the later part of the 98 model year.

  • we have these buses at our depot, our is 1995 Ford Thomas , with cummins automatic. must be same as your cause the one we have has same dash in her.

  • @NotYour94Ranger & Chris090883- We do also have parents that call and complain that stops are too far apart, or if they have to walk from their house in a subdivision to the main street, which is why we often have to drive into culdasacs and turn around. Elementary kids get plenty of recess, but once you get to high school, exercise promotion disappears unless you are into sports. Great way to teach kids to stay active-joking.

  • @Chris090883 Well, at the schools I went to, there were a few scares of kids going missing. With child predation getting far more common (or so it seems) the schools are quite paranoid.

What they need to do is give the kids more recess time, and revise the damn lunch menu, because there's no way the greasy shit they serve lends itself to a healthy body.

  • Sweet video!
