Mike put up a challenge video on YouTube to do something creative with the following pattern: KRLKKR LRLKRL. Now I'm not going to attempt to play this pattern as a blazing fast fill like Mike, rather I hope to win this contest by focusing on the pattern as a groove -- mainly from the standpoint of the kick drum. By that, I mean I found a simple way to make the kick part groove not just during the fill, but groove during the main beat as well, while maintaining the SAME Kick part ALL THE TIME. By shifting the pattern back 4 notes, you end up with: KRLRLK RLKRLK. I didn't change the sticking at all, rather I simply offset the pattern by 4 notes. The challenge pattern is played during the fills. I just found out about the challenge today and the video was done in 1 take so please excuse any errors.
Dude, totally beast!!! and your ghost notes! Keep it up! Also, I subscribed for more awesomeness :D

Wow. You are an incredible drummer. Just solid. Period. When I watching you explain and you started with the kick and high-hat groove and then you just slid into the whole groove like it was nothing, i said to myself, "Daaaaaaaaaaamn." Intense man.
