Introductory Video by JRCC Halifax employee who has been declared affected by the recent job and budget cuts announced by the Federal Conservative Party. Apparently Steven Harper's and Tony Clement's promises to cut only through attrition and not cut services is nothing but lies and lip service.

@DaveinAB Since Stephen Harper is way in the political right, he's gearing Canada more and more towards a Fascist Dictatorship as opposed to the extreme left counterpart, Communist Dictatorship.

@NoBSThirsty In the previous election, I voted for the NDP, not the Conservative Party of Canada and its leader Stephen Harper.

Thanks for being the brave one to speak out.
There should be no profit motive in any health and safety related field - the idea that someone would make a profit from someone else's grief and suffering makes me sick. We can see what privatized cleaning does in hospitals.
I'm a ground SAR volunteer from the west coast. This is too important to farm out.
Keep up the work.

Not exactly a self-preserving move under a Harper government. As in a Facist or Communist rule, you simply cannot speak ill of those who are in power. At least he won't "disappear"...

Jason Hamilton should get full marks for taking the courage to speak up against his employer, Canada's Department of Fisheries and Oceans, and their possible SAR cuts that could hurt mariners and fisherman along Canada's east coast.
I learned on CBC Nova Scotia website that he is now paying the price for posting this video as he was relieved of his duties.
In order to ensure Canada's Fundamental Rights are protected, including Freedom of Speech, I hope he gets his job back unconditionally.
