  • Your hair is amazing. YOU are amazing. Thank you for this super honest video...it gives me a bit more courage every time I see a woman as beautiful as you that is human and getting over insecurities too.

  • @livin4jc3 thank you so much. I work on my personality more than my looks. STaying honest with yourself is hard when you are your own worst critic. The path to loving ourselves truly is difficult and I am thankful to not be walking it alone. Thank u for your support.

  • You look beautiful, Kristaal, with or without the dreads -- and seem to be beautiful, both inside and out. Be well in 2012 -- have a fabulous journey!!

  • @delilahFL xo thank you !!

  • You are beautiful inside & out. Thx for sharing all of that with us. You don't have to answer this if you feel it's to personal but what does your honey think? Was he supportive in your decision or disappointed that you were going to cut them? Just wondering since you said he runs his hands thru your hair now & loves that he can do that cuz it's so soft & healthy. You really do have gorgeous hair but I think your face & personality is what makes you so pretty.

  • @lllelly316 Thank you!!! Jesse has been very supportive in EVERY way. He even helped brush them out and made me lots of food so I could get the job done undisturbed. I am at the point where I believe not many people care either way what my hair looks like. I think they just love me and for that I am humbled and grateful beyond belief. much love to you : )

  • what method, products and/or exactly how did you brush them out?

  • shame you got rid of the dreads, it's nice to see a model with proper dreads not fake ones ! you are beautiful either way :P x

  • i loved the dreads and wow u looked so hot with them

  • Looooved the dreads!

  • I think it is a very emotional journey having dreads, I am a big reggae fan and I have spoken to many people who have dreads that express the same types of feelings you do about energy. I know you must be a bit sad about not having them anymore but like anything new you will eventually get use to it, and if not you could always start a new journey by growing them back with new energy and good vibes. I hope this make sense , jah bless and have a happy new 2012!

  • sorry for your loss i still respect you, maybe even more now. im native american, some tribes today still do not let non family members touch their hair. Some ov us who still carry on with our traditions only cuz our hair when in mourning. you are right with the emotions, memories and ENERGY. i dnt have time to go into explanation but i still have to get around cutting mine for an uncle who passed on the 22nd.

  • you are an inspiration to behold! thank you so much for sharing all your journeys... this one in particular. you are an amazing being filling the world with sparkly love! thank you

  • super clear !! I am french and, believe me ,it is not always easy to understand english ....your speaking is clear,...I would say ....fantastic, I jus get everything you say...I love the words you are using ....sounds " crystal chic ".maybe you should give french people English lessons

  • Wow, I loved your honesty in this video. I totally can relate to your story. I never had dreads but I did have hip length hair. My hair became my identity and I was a bit obsessed with it being long and healthy. In 2006 I went through chemo for breast cancer and lost all my hair. My oncologist was more upset than I was about losing it! Hey, hair grows back and I wanted to live. It was then that I realized I am not just a girl with really long hair. Since growing it back I have kept it shoulder

  • I really appreciate you making this video! Its very interesting to hear why you had dreads, and why you got rid of them. You are beautiful with or without them, inside and out! You have a good head on your shoulders :)
