Why is Richard M Daley still Mayor of this city

The mayor of this city claims that he is the mayor of all of Chicago. Yet his departments do not work in concert. This is an example of how badly the streets are in this city. The city stickers that cost over 70 dollars, supposedly go to fixing the streets. This street 82nd and Langley is being repaved for the first time in over 15 years. This is the city that works?? Its really time to get this man out of office before he permanantly damages this city.

There is a growing concern about his continued place in power, but unfortunately here in Chicago, the city council which is supposed to be a check on his power has never been, the press is just scared to death of him. Its a shame. He has been at the party too long,

If I had any intent on staying here in Chicago I would. I left Chicago, and seem to be always leaving. But i was born and raised here, I do feel a certain concern for the people here, and I do believe that they deserve better. Has anyone noticed that in certain areas of the city, street cleaning is done every two weeks, meanwhile in some areas you are fortunate if you get it done once a month?

I would say vote Daley out of office next election, but Chicago elections are questionable.

Yea I don't understand; why is he still mayor? He is a bit old and I think he has been in power since 1991 or so, which is wack!
