M-Audio's Torq system, like Serrato Scratch and NI Traktor, allows DJs to scratch MP3s using MIDI time coded control vinyl via their Connectiv audio interface. It also comes with software that takes all the fun out of DJing. Luckily, Jason Donnelly shows us how to bypass that feature. See more on Gearwire.com

to all the people who post that it's hard to mix with this software or any dj software, learn how to mix and dj on real vinyl first.. then it wouldn't be so hard. use your ears not your eyes to mix.

how do you use it with vinyl? i have it all hooked up correctly but its still not working

You can only record if you use an internal mixer (yes, that's supergay!) and I believe it's only .wav that's available. using torq so long, I realized it's not even worth it, I find it difficult to mix, if you compare a screen shot of torq and then Serato, Serato is so simple and clean. Torq = Clusterfuck.
