i rented this movie. and when i saw this i was like "wtf a spider?" and it's stop motion. i felt like i was watching a tim burton movie or something

Well, when It kills kids in different forms, the forms are emphatically REAL, and they're different shapes to the star-spider form. And there's parts where those forms change shape according to who's present. It's kind of ambiguous as to whether it's a shape-shifter or one shape projecting different forms, though when It gets slingshotted, It changes shape as it escapes and Ben nearly sees what shape it really is. Unequivocal, almost?
