@stupidkid915 Cool thanks for responding. By deep stances, I was referring to other vids displaying Tan Tui from fredong77 where a lady was doing very basic movement, and her stances were deeper than these here. We follow a similar principle in karate - low stances for beginning stages to train the body, and natural stances for combat and more advanced training. Not surprising, since karate has roots in the Chinese arts. Again, thanks so much.
2) most all northern Wushu styles have a tan tui basic set. some are 10 "roads", some are 12+. I have heard the original tan tui came from Muslim "Cha Fist" or Cha Quan and had 20 "roads". most people know 10 or 12, there may have been more secretly, but who ever says they know for sure is ignorant.
1)tan tui means leg flicking/snapping training, there is a focus to specific leg technique, but it is not just for legs, all northern styles are this low! nothing special... just basics
How long will i need to practice to get such perfect position?
thx 4 sharing the video! ^^

@deek77
Also, these are high stances for combat! if you are training the legs you will have hips parallel with knees height

Lovely execution. I'm a karate man, so someone please help me understand:
1)Is Tan Tui just for leg training? I notice many deep stances and kicks
2)Is this exclusive to Chin Woo, or can it be found in other styles/schools?
