@5ug4rfr33 Can you please make one more Skrillex 8 bit cover? If so, can it be either First of The Year Equinox, Ruffneck Full Flex, Cinema Skrillex Remix, or pretty much any Skrillex song? If you could do that, thank you so much dude! I'd be happy to see one more cover! =3

@SonicPro96 I'm probably not going to do another Skrillex song. I think it would be better to do songs by different artists to experiment with making more diverse sounds using game hardware. That being said, I've been really into cheesy J-Pop like Kyary Pamyupamyu lately (search for POM POM POM), and might do that track, or maybe a Perfume track (Love the World, One Room Disco). I have bad taste in music.

IS there any way that you could upload a FTM for this? I'm very curious to find out how you did those drops. Very nice work.

@8BitItalianStallion By having a break and then kicking a bass in. ;)
Seriously though, the "talking" bass is simulated (poorly) by combining the expanded pulse width capability of the VRC6's square channels with the pitch modulation that I was able to simulate quite easily. The pulse width can be set to loop in the instrument editor, so I just had it sweep from 0-7.
Another way you could do a talking bass would be to make one in another program (Ableton, Cubase, etc.) and import it as a DPCM.

@8BitItalianStallion I suppose you could also try drawing a waveform using the FDS or synthesizing one with the VRC7. I haven't really used them at all yet, so I can't say for sure.
