i never liked the early adaptations, i love however the japanese-made 1990s tv series. they are amazing.

So many good actors, I really wish the cartoons had been released in the usa. Mads Mikkelsen is such an amazing actor.

This is probably weirder than Alexander in "Zoolander"...
Anyway, I've only heard of this originally being popular in Japan, and a few days ago, a customer walks into work wearing a Moomin shirt. His family lives in Finland, and his grandchildren love the stories. Of course, I wonder why this has never been released in the US...it has in the UK, and I could see this being broadcast on Disney Junior or Starz Kids...
