I have a Sunbeam Imp Sport with 998cc and Hartwell head , very similar to your but in road configuration and LHD (I'm italian)
it is amazing to see how is fast the Imp in circuit !!! Great !!!

The graunch when downshifting is because you are not toe-heeling. You need to ask an experienced driver about this or that box isnt going to last.

@devstube If you look at any of my other videos, you'll find that I am indeed heel-toeing :) The problem was with a worn gear selector mechanism which was easily cured (also note that upshifts were very difficult).

@VirtualMayhem yup, as can be seen in that long bend starting lap #2, it took me a while to remember that keeping your foot in when oversteering is not the cure in a RWD car :)

Hi, since this was my first test I took it easy, about 8300 was the max I used. I was told 9100 was ok, but didn't feel the need during these first few laps :)
