In this video, I discuss the experiences (mostly my own) of "schizophrenia" which is a mental condition affecting about 1 in every 100 people. I also discuss thoughts on why people with schizophrenia get sick, I address ways in which schizophrenic tendencies might be beneficial and be integrated in healthy ways, and I address what I think about the causes of the individual schizophrenic predicament.

Please comment and share this video and ask questions for topics of future videos! I want to share as much knowledge as I can, to all who are genuinely curious.

Yay, thanks YouTube for 15 minute video. That's a time I can share an idea nicely within! sweet action.

Visit my profile and check out my links in my info if you wish to hear the music I make or read my writing.

I am currently nearing completion of a book about schizophrenia and my experience of it.

I will upload another video in a couple days that extends the ideas and looks at different aspects of the schizophrenic experience.

Peace!

  • Big smile, I failed year 12 english you win. Keep up the good work with educating people.

  • @MegaEagle1968 Aww! Thanks :)

  • I wonder if you did that on purpose. Add loud music and see the viewers reactions. It's a challenge in itself separating the music and your voice. I get lost..

  • @paperxoheartt So far, the viewers' reactions are not being able to hear and complaining or being able to hear and responding to something I said. Oh well. It's far too late to change the music level. I have no problem when I use my nice speakers and pay attention. Some people's attention span is shallow, but even more people's speakers are crappy.

  • Turn the music off.

No one can hear you with that on.

    .

Only you can hear yourself because it come from inside your head.

    .

    Stupid.

  • @nednednerb I myself prefer "I am schizophrenic" to "I am a schizophrenic" or "I have schizophrenia" but this is genuinely moot except as a symbolization of our ontological judgment of the state of affairs in the world. Sorry, but I went to school and learned a lot about linguistic philosophy. That's where I think this issue is, in linguistics, that the substantial theoretical claims being perhaps suspect when we attempt to interpret ontology is what this "adjective/noun" relation implies.

  • @nednednerb so it's not a "schizophrenic me" but a "me with schizophrenia." This is not the same weight as a theoretical claim that it's a chemical imbalance purely or stress imbalance with particularized traits (the symptoms) in relation to genetic tendency and development nuances

  • @MegaEagle1968 Thank you for your compliment, but personally, I am more linguistically capable of conceiving myself as "schizophrenic" like I am "dirty blond" or "white" or "low income." These are merely descriptive categorical claims, not nominalizations like "with schizophrenia" as a noun. I prefer an adjective. But that's absurd. Language does not nominalize and make as an adjective, the mind imparts its senses into things. Some people like to think of "the schizophrenia" as apart from "me."

  • You`re not schizophrenic you are a person that suffers with schizophrenia, you are a person first and foremost, you're truthfully honest and I commend you. Thank you.

  • this is all i here blah blah blah blah.....turn the music down FOOL

  • @AllOnFL are you a fucking idiot....that only makes you more psycho.
