Semi finalist, from Film Your Issue 2007:

Enter 2008 Film Your Issue - www.filmyourissue.com

My name is Zina Nicole Lahr. I am 17 years old and I live in a very small town in Colorado (no stop lights kind of small) called Ouray.

I have been making short films for a little over 3 years now. I started making stop motion movies with random objects around my house and just recently started making live action and time lapse movies.

I have always been interested in film. I remember taking my toys when I was just 5 and creating actors and actresses to star in the films I would create in my head.

I hope to go into the film industry someday. Whether it be through animation, editing, directing, producing, filming, etc. I want to create films. After all, I believe films can communicate better than most things can portray. They can spark imagination, hope, love, inspiration, and can even surpass language barriers.

I found "Film Your Issue" and decided to create this film, "Save A Life"

I want "Save A Life" not to lean anywhere politicly, but simply make a growing issue known.

I wanted to make a film about an issue that seems to be overlooked. I wanted to use not much more than a pen, ink, and a sketch pad to make my point known.

Thank you and enjoy my film.

  • Hmmmm let's see which one is better abortion or finding another 50,0000 babies in the trash this year.

  • So very sad; find comfort knowing the babies are in heaven with our Lord...

  • @oxoCloud If that is so, then why should a mother be devastated when her child dies in the womb? Even though teen pregnancy is a growing issue, the child doesn't have to pay for his/her parents' mistake.

  • @ZEROCOKEPRODUCTIONS That may be so, but it doesn't have to be that way. Two wrongs don't make a right. The child can always be put up for adoption instead of being killed.

  • no..no..some of you are so wrong.abortion is wrong...you don't just kill a child if you don't want it..and if them slutty teens think they can have sex at there age then they can have a child at there age..and if they don't want any kids at there age then they should keep there lags closed..

  • Thank you for standing up for those who cannot defend themselves. Thank you.

  • Good video, great message, and I like the drawing effect.

  • fuck yeah. let people know we are killing ourselves knowingly by having too many people set foot. Fuck yeah nikole

  • the message is true. though no matter in how many years abortion and teen pregnacy will always be a problem. There is no quick fix to this. I find abortion not wrong, nor right. Its not a life until its born.

  • well then if u dont get abortions many teens will just put the baby in da garbage 4 real
