there was once a small child who grew out of her pony, her parents convinced her to take it to auction so that the pony could be loved by someone that could ride it. When they arrived at the auction they sold the pony, as the pony was being loaded into a trailer the child heard the words that broke her heart "theres Jay the meat man" she had un knowingly sold her beloved pony to slaughter, she screamed for her pony but it was to late really good vid! stoppin thisgs like this ^ from happenin

Amanda...never never remove this video...it was the worst and best of the memories of that rescue, and of course my sweet Ghost...

It is a touching peak into the realities of the enormity of that entire rescue and all the wonderful, caring spirits that became involved!

No animal or person should ever suffer. Why the horse is because the governement taxes their feed, and not livestock feed, so in doing so the government themselves label horses as pets and not livestock so for years they secretely bred and slaughtered them for their meat. Most little girls grow up dreaming of riding Black Beauty the steed, not the steer so horses get more of an outcry from the public because they are considered pets by majority and not livestock.

I am not to fond of slaughter either of horses, but what about the cows? pigs? how come no one gets emotional over their suffering? where are the cow rescues? the pig rescues? maybe a chicken rescue? suffering is bad no matter how ugly or pretty the animal. emotions tend to cloud people's thinking when it comes to slaughter. in attempt to lower the suffering you end up causing more with policies that are put forth.unintended consequences as it were.

oh my gosh these horses have been through soo much pain in their lives they really deserve a good homw with food shelter and lots of love not being beaten and starved to death and left out in the rain so sad!

i'm glad that more people are relising are that horse are alot like people. i work at rescue center and it makes me mad at some of the stories and things we see and some times even horses i've worked with could not be saved they were just too lost. so i'm super happy and pleased that people are working towards stoping this stuff

I just have to say that you are GREAT for what your doing and any one who an please rescue a horse I rescued mine from a slaughter house in canada and when I got her she had a baling wine halter that was dug into her skin but now she is the best horse ever

That was a beautiful video. Alot of people only see dollar signs when they look at a horse. They are blind.
