I hate when idiots tell me that some Mustang is turbo after they see it run a 12 seocnd pass or something. God damn kids have no idea what a turbo 302 runs like. They think it has to be "built" and turbo to run a 12 second pass because they want to hate on Mustangs. Fact is, you can run a low 12 second pass @ 110 mph with a completely stock 5.0 short block in a stock car with stock trans with nothing but a top end kit (heads cam intake) and slicks.

@jeffcougar1968 I am just barely into the 12s with a stock block, stock rotating assembly, a cam that is so mild it idles as smooth as stock, stock iron Explorer (GT40P) heads, Performer 289 intake, MAC short tube headers, Edelbrock 600 carb, stock T5, 3.73 gears and believe it or not Firestone FR380 205/65-15 economy tires. On slicks i'm sure I could hit 12.50 but my goal was to hit 12s on street tires and I did that even with stock production heads and a/c, p/s, full interior etc.

@gtdrummerdude yep your right i run 12.50 with a stock 5.0 bottom end with cheap ass procomp heads b303 cam with 1.7 rocker over carbed a little bet 750 bubble pump and 373 stock 4banger trans lol

Where did you find all those parts? i have been looking to lighten up my 1988 GT, i found a carbon fiber hatch before i bought my car but i cant find it again after i wanted to get it.

Nice. I went 10.90s with a stock short block and not completely tuned due to a cam change. Vortech supercharged with12 lbs of boost.

Fox mustangs have the biogest selection of aftermarket parts than any car on earth.I got carbon fiber fenders 500$ a pair,carbon fiber hood 500$,fiberglass doors700$ a pair,fiber glass trunk lid 400$ and lexan windows 650$.with these mods a stang could easily go 9's with a stock block.my 86 hatch is down to like 2600lbs

its not a problem for a stock long block with a turbo to go 10s. Turbos and 302s build a rediculous horsepower. People with stock motors only run a small amount of psi bc the block can only handle 500hp or so.
