@whybbob I'll give it a go. Why not? FYI I wrote to the parent company explaining I love their refills but not at 3 times the price of Palmolive I used to use. I explained I now refill. They said it may not work correctly with a hole in the top. I said we plug with tape and it work just fine. Oh 1 last thing, if there are undesired releases, clean the electric eye as there might be spashes of soap on it.

I just take a flat screw driver and pry the cap off. It pops right off with minimal effort. refill and snap the cap back on and you're done :))

@heavvyp - Thank you for the suggestion. We use up the soap quick in my house. Squeezing soap thru the refill hole only takes 15 seconds each time, no tools :)

I do exactly this when refilling but I don't bother with the second hole. I drilled the main hole with a 10mm drill bit. I use my regular handwash which is 1/3 the price of the Dettol/lysol refill. I used a funnel to make sure it goes where it's meant to. It goes to show great minds think alike:)

@lanimae61 - Thank you for sharing your experience and tip :) You may find that the second "breather" hole will allow for faster, smoother refills. Without the second hole, you might notice air bubbles trying to escape thru your funnel fill.
