  • The arrangement is by Godowsky. The pianist is Shura Cherkassky.

  • @JadaLoveEmo It was common at that time to rewrite compositions…not to make them harder to play…but to add own ideas, options and interpretations. I think Albeniz would have loved this version ^o^

  • godowsky, You are a bit a big dick. THIS PIECE IS WONDERFUL BY ALBENIZ . WE DON'T NEED YOUR VIRTUOSISTIC VERSION OF ALL EXIST IN MUSIC!

  • is it just me or the volume on the left speaker is low?

  • Beautiful................relaxing to listen to!!

  • This is the late, great, Shura Cherkassky, who lived in London for over 30 years until his death in 1995 (he lived at the White House Hotel, just a few hundred yards from where I work. I'd guess this was an encore. Beautiful piece, sensitively played. I wonder why there are so many pianos on stage....?!

  • if you want to watch it on youtube at duo guitar go to my vid.! hes interpretation is more like a balade :) not tango , but i like it :) nice.

  • This looks like the concert at the Royal Festival Hall in London in the mid 1970s in aid of the International Piano Library. I was at this concert and remember it very well! Please could you tell me where I can get the complete video as I want to see that hysterically funny sketch with Gina Bachauer, Alicia de Larrocha and Garrick Ohlssohn.

  • suport

  • Amazing improvisation. Gorgeous! This piece is actually difficult to play well. It is rather funny that it's in so many student piano books. But I've yet to hear a student play it really well. ;)

  • I would recommend that if you were trying to teach someone of respect, you learn it yourself first. And correct your English. You would claim others ruin a man, but you ruin a language.
