Often times children are just not motivated by the materials or the individual that is presents them to them. Learning has become a stress induced experience for lots of children. Because some of don't understand that there are different learning styles. Providing good differential learning materials that allow a child to feel relaxed helps eliminate anxiety, increases confidence and fosters spontaneous learning. Most important is self confidence and harsh judgment destroys it.
I have degrees in Philosophy and Communication Studies, and I would argue this is entirely true. When children are not taught to their learning style, it can cause demotivation, frustration, and learning failure. While this is not the case in every instance, it is noteworthy information. There is a great deal of research in support of the concept.
Results of valid, empirical observations of the effects of learning styles on students are clear. Teachers use of learning style information has no effect, or sometimes a harmful effect on learning. Clearly, folks behave unethically when they take peoples time and/or money and dont provide any evidence on whether an investment in learning styles is a just use of scarce school resources.
So Id challenge the person in this video, Can you offer any valid evidence that it actually help kids?
Its bullshit. There is no such thing as different learning styles. And contrary to what is tolled in this video there is no evidence by independent researchers (researchers that does not earn there money on the validity of this theory) that has ever been able to show that the theory and praxis of "learning styles" has any effect on kids ability to learn at all.

Wish we had qualified teachers that cared enough to pay attention to this.
Great message
