This is the song "Chris" from the Falcon & the Snowman soundtrack. It's basically the instrumental version of David Bowe's "This is not America" though some of the instruments and breaks are changed to make this track stand out more without the vocals.

@mudhens4ever--you are correct as I tried to buy it on Itunes as well and it simply wasn't available for some reason. All "the Wave 94.7" in L.A. is a sell-out. The used to play all kinds of world music, new age, Windham Hills, etc but are formatted now towards easy listening with sprinkling here and there of some smooth jazz (sans the new age music) and I am disgusted by it. Sell-out!!!

A VERY poignant movie and musical piece (What is YOUR defintion of America?) which relates to BOTH the movies locations as well as the movies narrative as a whole. What happens when your illusions of RIGHT and WRONG are just SHATTERED?!

The most remarkable feature of Pat Metheny compositions are their basic simplicity, to which he infuses his passion and sincerety. It's as if each time Metheny plays it's for the first time. Not many musicians can replicate this, so I admire him very much.

Everything Pat does seems to make you think you can? I have been a huge fan for a long time. Just love his music and everthing he does. This one is gotta be one of my favorites. Headphones and closed eyes; off to a mental vacation I can't describe. Thanks Pat, your the best!!!!!!!!!!!
