well the truth be told. Horse slaughter is a necessity with out it the base level of the horse is destroyed. And once that happens horses become worthless. and once a horse is worthless allot worse abuse is going to happen. See it's like this, U can stop the abuse inside the slaughter industry. But once U ban it U cannot stop the abuse that is for certain to follow

Horses are yummy besides guys listen us humans need to survive it's interesting how u would rather kill yourself then eat... Oh well just cuz your protesting nothing will change sorry but it's the simple truth... Deal with it

@greatbigbubby im not saying there all spared misery,

there are some perfectly good horses that go to slaughter for no reason,

im saying there are quite a few thought that are simply better off being put down

and i live in nothern canada.... try getting a horse to feed itself when everything is covered in ice

letting a horse run free HERE was just be stupid and torture

@cmathew4 if you think horses are spared misery you should check out; mary nash's horsemeat website and respect4horses. you'll change your mind when you see it. really terrible. a well placed bullet or injection is the best thing if there's no hope for adoption, rescue or medical/food

@cmathew4 i don't know what winter you say the horses would'nt survive, but in north united states our horses grow thick,shaggy coats and do fine. mine prefer to be out in it than in the barn. i believe an injection is better than the slaughter plants that use the bolt gun and takes several hits before it works. employees were caught cheering a horse that took alot to kill while it screamed for it's life. cruel s.o.b.'s. sometimes alive while being hacked away. they'll burn in hell for it.

can't watch anymore,just read the comments. there's always a better way than slaughter.france gave us the liberty statue; now they eat our horses-our own symbols of freedom . they helped us gain our freedom! this generation doesn't realize that. how soon we forget who our friends are.

@01angie67 Horse heart is actually very delicious. Why can't horse lovers and horse eaters come together and accept that we both have a love for horses. Somewhat of a yin and yang. One half for the love and affection and another for the love of consumption.
