At the International Tokyo Toy Show 2008, Takara Tomy showed their new Hi-Kara a personal karaoke machine that can be enjoyed on your own or with friends. The Hi-Kara is basically designed for use by one person to sing along to music, but headphones for up to two people can be inserted, so when both sets of headphones are plugged in, two people can enjoy singing along to music in their own little two-person karaoke world. The HI-Kara also comes with an output terminal for connecting to a television allowing you to enjoy regular home karaoke on any TV. The Hi-Kara will be available in Japan from October 2008 for approximately 10,000 yen.
