From the left:
Mikkel Egelund Nielsen, Jakob Bangsø, Klavs Møller Hansen and Simon Wildau.

The piece was written in 1975 by Wayne Siegel (www.daimi.au.dk/~wsiegel) for four identical or similar instruments such as four marimbas, four guitars, or two violins and two violas or for two identical keyboard instruments.

Performance notes (extract):
"Segments within repeat signs indicate new material that is to be repeated continuously. (...) It is up to the player with the next new material in the score to decide how long he or she will wait before beginning the new pattern - there are no indications as to how many times each pattern is to be repeated: the decision to go on to the next figure will depend on how that particular player feels the piece is progressing. (...)"

Camera: Jacob Nielsen - jacobnielsen.dk. The video was recorded on October 7th 2008 at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus, Denmark, at a students concert.
