  • Hello Gents (& Ladies)

Just thought i'd let anyone know who is worried about TC that in 95% cases of TC it is totally cureable. I am 38 and was diagnosed with TC in Nov 07. I've had the op and it was kept 'localised' (hasn't spread). I was fortunate enough not having the need for chemo or radio. I will be monitored for 5 years, things are really good.Look gents,if you find a lump or swelling forget the embarrasement and go and see your GP!! Just do it..or you might regret it.

  • well said mate and good luck for the future

  • Actually, I noticed a lump on my testicle, GP said it was my epidi-something, and he's almost positive i have nothing, but to be sure he made me make an appointment for an ultrasound tomorrow, no matter what happens, i feel that from now on i can trust him :)

  • Hmm, i like my doctor, noticed a lump on testicle yesterday, getting an ultrasound tomorrow, He is awesome!

  • @pyroblaze151 ANY type of cancer can kill you... if they hurt then I'm pretty sure that isn't a sign of Cancer... if it's swelling then go see a doctor..

Or you can go see a doctor anyway to just be safe...

  • i had testicle cancer back in 1990 and both nuts removed and fake ones put back in the nut sack. i never told any of my girlfreinds this and they never could tell even when they play with them . and the balls do not feel much but pain when you kick them the ball sack has the good feeling when you touch it .

  • The cancer did smack me on my testcile right at age 34. (2005). It started with a swollen ball one morning and pain. It went away. Ever since, thats when I noticed the lump. 6 months later it got swollen again. Went away after a couple days. Lump got bigger and felt hard like a rock. Eventually told doctor about. They found out it was cancer. Then I had it removed. As of 4 yrs having only 1 ball. Everything is fine. I was ABLE to bear a child still with just 1 ball!

  • yes, leaving the testicle and removing only the tumoral tissue would be too risky, expecially for the fact that some tumoral cell could remain and regenerate the illness. Did u had that problem?
