exercise and increasing oxygenated blood flow to the colon, eating healthy food (a lot of vegetable especially the ones high in fiber, plus fruit), furthermore decreasing stress may be the key.
I was diagnosed with acute UC in 1999. I was in hospital for 11 days. Up until 2008 I was still chronic and only 10mg of prednisalone a day treated the symptoms. In 2008 I became vegetarian and all symptoms disappeared after 6 months. I came of all UC meds and found I was in remission. But in 2009 I started eating meat again and after 2 months the UC came back so I went back to vegetarian and it went away again with no meds. Eating meat again for 2 months and no UC.
i recently have been diagnosed with moderate UC and the medicine i am taking colazal seems to be working but i am just worried about my condition in long term like if the medication is working than can my ulcer come back in the future like if there a way to maintain remission?
I have UC, but it has been treated to the point that I havent had a flair, or pain because of my UC for 3 years now. I just started eating natural and organic foods. The problem starts with the additives, chemicals, proccessed, radiated food that you eat and sticks to your intestines. So to treat it is to eat real food. watch my video. good luck
