Its no more whorish than your average RnB video...and is a hell of a lot classier.
I hate that burlesque is given such bad press round where I live, everyone seems to think its pretty much the same as lap-dancing or stripping.

Burlesque dancers are not any better or any worse than strippers it is a different form of strip tease and they should get off their high horses.

What exactly is wrong with lapdancing? You do know it derives from american burlesque which came into decline until recently because it started flaunting censorship too much in the 1930s? Lapdancing and poledancing is an artform in itself. Burlesque is not somehow a stage up from it it's just a different form.
Burlesque dancing is a strip tease i.e. you're supposed to get naked just because some burlesque dancers choose not to doesn't entitle them to judge stripping.

A lot of people think that burlesque dancers are no less than strippers and lap dancers...but what they don't get is that burlesque dancers are performers..fun performers who are no less then dancers, just in different genre. Compared to many strippers and lap dancers who do it only for money, burlesque dancers do it for the entertainment and they just like to do it! Burlesque girls I know would be highly upset if a man tried to pull something off them during their performance.

she buys the individual feathers from ebay and then makes the fans herself with poster board and then decorates them

you can buy them on ebay... look for "lots of feathers" but fyi that poster board will make lighter fans then if you use traditional fans.... be prepared for the weight difference.
