You spelled consistently wrong.

what is the point of comparing roddick to "most players"?
he has indeed stayed in the top 10 for years second only to federer, but for the most part of those years he's not even in the top 5
he's a top player yes but he is still one dimensional
he's definitely capable of a higher gear like he did to nadal in miami 2010, but for the most part he's just content with playing passive shots, which works well against "most players"
he's just always there, but never really quite "there"

I totally agree with everybody that Roddick is a great player and for those who says he's a stuck up prick for often arguing, it's his right to argue when he's being done wrong (flash photography during play for example). Nevertheless, I believe that Roddick has one big problem, he plays a hard topspin, but in contrast to Nadal can't simultaneously create a lot of power on the ball, so that his approach shots are easy to handle; thus his bad statistic at the net.

@PatriotBrady absolutely, people think that a-rod is a top player, only because he has a great serve, sure his serve helps him a lot, but the truth is, he´s one of the best competitor´s in the game and that´s why, he´s been a consistently top ranked player.

@PatriotBrady I agree roddick is probably criticised too much, becasue lets face it 03( SF loss),04,05,09 wimbledon, 06 US, maybe even 07 Aus (has a great H2H againsts Gonzo), there is one reason and one reason only Andy is not at least a four time major champion, and thats at least, becasue the confidence he would have got from winning another could have taken him further.

plus having the fastest serve EVER in the history of this sport and one's velocity that is the Envy of every other pro on the tour counts for something
-
@PatriotBrady The reason why Roddick's been criticized for his "1-dimensional" game in the past was because compared to the rest of the top 10, his game was 1-dimensional with the big serve and forehand punch. He was a sub-par volleyer, but his backhand always had great potential, in my opinion. He just never exploited it at the right moments. Since taking along Larry Stefanki, his game has definitely changed up much, so this criticism wouldn't be valid anymore :)

Its interesting - Roddick has a bigger serve that in most matches gleans him more cheap points than Rogers but if it came down to a match up with a world class returner think Agassi, Nadal or Murray, I actually think the disguise and accuracy of Rogers serve is more effective.
-
and he is a smart man with the best humor in the circuit.

so does this mean that Roddick's a poor player because he isn't the greatest of all time? How dare he not be perfect from all over the court!!!
People always criticize Roddick for being 1-dimensional, and yet, he is still among the top players in the world. He has been consistantly in the top 10 for several years (unlike Hewitt, Safin, etc.). He has made 5 grand slam finals and won 1. Yes, he may have 14 less than fed, but he has more than most tennis players can dream of.

If he can just play like this against Nadal or Murray, they wouldn't stand a chance
