Campaign to make "Bert the Runner Duck" into a Major Motion Picture
Genre: Animation/Adventure/Comedy
Logline: A Runner Duck and a dog run the NYC Marathon where they make new friends from all over the world as they run through NYC landmarks and into high adventure.
Short Synopsis:
A Brooklyn-born Runner Duck named Bert and his best friend a dog named Sampson run the famous New York City Marathon. As they pass famous NYC landmarks they make exciting friends from all over the world. We meet kangaroos Joy and her son Joey from Australia, Red, a giraffe and his best friend Marvin, a monkey who live in Africa, Pandas Ching and her twin sister Ling from China and many many more exciting runners and unexpected ventures along the way. Whether it's streetwise Pete the Pigeon from New York City or sweet Rosa the parrot from the Rain forest of South America you will fall in love with their colorful personalities and their irresistible charm. Can Demetrio the bull from Spain become a lifelong friend to Nakhit, a camel, who lives far away in Egypt? Can penguins Durmont and wife Adelie from the Antarctic survive the long NYC 26 mile race? Can Bert finish the race with his handicap of his one bad eye? Will any of them finish the race? Will they be friends forever? Join Bert. Everyone is invited to run with Bert and his friends.
Children and adults identify with the varied personalities of the characters. Bert is a leader, Red is shy, Rosa is kind, Ching is outgoing, Durmont and Adelie are world travelers, Nakhti is smart, etc.
