I bought the NORTON ANTIVIRUS 2010 from Best Buy. I downloaded the software and type in the KEY for activation. But it is still asking "NEED ACTIVATION". And only good for 15 days. It should be 1 year, and should be working after i type in the key. But it never happen.

@Kote12TK make sure that what you have installed on your computer is what you bought. By that I mean, you installed Norton Internet security and you bought the Anti virus or vice versa. It will not work if you buy one and try to use the key on the other.

@languy99 I type the key that was provided inside the box. Why is there "another key" other the one "provided"?

@Kote12TK Did you install the software that was in the box? If not I would uninstall the norton you have now on your computer and use the CD that came with the box to reinstall.

@languy99 I take the disk from the box, place it on a tray, slide it in. That's how i do it. There was no Norton software beforehand before i bought from Best Buy. How could i uninstall something which does not exist before.

@Kote12TK Because you said you "downloaded the software and typed in the key". Anyway, I would try contacting norton customer service, they would know how to fix your problem. And because you are a paying customer they will help you.

wow norton IS aren't nearly as good as norton 360 v4, norton 360 v4 are almost totally aoutomatic

@KilljoySR He uses an antimalware software not because he wants to see what viruses the other antivirus missed but because he wants to see how much harm it let through and what changes it allowed
