  • Looks great, but how many thousands of dollars did the cf fabric alone cost?

  • @PBGV4444 Not many at all, actually. The material is sponsored through good-will, as well as the possibility for us to use the machine shop. The most expensive part would probably be the man-hours, which of course are "for free" in a non-profit organization since everything is done by our own guys.

  • @theory816 Monocoque doesn't refer to the material. It means the stress and loads are supported by the shell of the vehicle and not by internal trusses.

  • i thought monocoque were made out of carbon fiber?

  • How did you attach the two halves of the chassis together? Just use an epoxy?

  • How many hours went into this thing? From design till the monocoque was ready.

  • @TheMPSScissors They used solidworks, then just took sections from the drawing and printed them 1:1 to use as the templates for the foam.
