love the guy agressively poking one button on the drum machine!!!

you're wrong. they were very big in the european dark wave scene back in the 80ies. along with nitzer ebb, front 242, joy divsion, alien sex fiend etc.
this track seems to have a lot influence from the early human league ;-)

Oh yeahh, they are very big here.... until today! I have seen them live here so often! Loving Huss-Brothers :-)

@fenni70 if you really listened a lot to joy division, you have to conclude that closer is a stronger album as a whole! unknown pleasure is more a collection of songs, than an album

Here we go again...
No I DON'T think SP is industrial, I know that TG, SPK and CV are industrial, I know about Industrial records label, I even have TG, CV and EN in my collection.
It just happens that industrial community (people who like TG and so forth) also like SP. And to be completely accurate SP has many songs in their catalog which may be classified as Industrial, they are known though for their danceable output more

Do you think that Skinny Puppy is an Industrial group? Typical for North America and their ignorant Rivetheads. :D
They were a New Wave spin-off with elements of Post-Industrial music. John Foxx meets Portion Control. That's all. Maybe "Electro-Industrial" is a better term for Skinny Puppy's late-80s period, but they were never ever a pure Industrial group.

This band is very well known in Industrial community because D.R. Goettel (late Skinny Puppy keyboardist) played with them in the beginning. Images in Vogue is also known because Key was a drummer there.

Joy Division started in 1977 and ended up with the suicide of Ian Curtis 1980. Their best album "Unknown Pleasure" dates back to the beginning of the band. They had big influence on Dark Wave bands in the 80ies.
You might have mistaken it with *New Order", the successor of the remaining band mates of Joy Division.
