Subaru TT Challenge at Isle of Man

Isle of Man and the TT mountain course hadn't been touched by a 4-wheel stock car since 1990, when Tony Pond set the world record in 22 minutes 9.1 seconds. Thinking on our feet, Automotive Events turned to Subaru of America with a proposal: Set the bar higher! Automotive Events presented Three-time British Rally Champion driver Mark Higgins to take the wheel of a 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI and break the record. With haunting failures from other manufacturers on mind, and a strong reluctance from the Isle of Man government to cooperate, Automotive Events utilized direct contacts within the system and a solid proposal to push Subaru to the starting line.
