American Airlines Flight 1701, departing Dallas-Fort Worth to San Diego, onboard a Boeing MD-80, via runway 35R. Filmed from seat 29F.

Gotta love those Mad Dog engines! Rotation was pretty quick, at about 5,000ft. On taxi, there's an interesting US Airways color scheme on an Airbus. Enjoy!

  • Incredible shot of International Pkwy. I know not of any other video on youtube showing an aircraft on a bridge over any roads. By the way, I don't know why DFW hasn't been using the perimeter taxiway in the SE corner, though it is finished. Think you can find out why?

  • Last I remember (because I flew into DFW several times), was because of construction. The north bridge over Int'l Pwy (south side) was under repairs. So was the south bridge over Int'l Pwy (south side). Not sure why, but both these bridges were closed.

    Glad you like the shot!

  • FYI Boeing doesnt make the MD-80's McDonell Douglas does. ;)

  • My favorite starts at 5:10 when given permission to enter runway. Usually it's position and hold, here they are given permission for immediate take off. You can hear the captain revving up the engines while turning to straighten out.

  • I love how low the wing are it makes it look smooth!

  • @anush10 Technically they are leaf blowers

  • @anthonystartrek :) and :(

  • @TexasMan77 Yay I love older plane like the MD-80

  • @BillyASmith7 I Agree

  • How about a turboJET instead of FAN

  • 5:09 Seriously the cars have to listen to all that noise right over them and how is there a bridge strong enough for planes
