This is a video that I made showing the effects of the Feburary 2010 earthquake in Chile. The epicenter was about 400 killometers to the south where it registered a staggering 8.8 on the richter scale. In Santiago, it registered something like 7.5. In this video, you can see how heavilly damaged the apartment building that we livED in was. Most buildings in Santiago held up fine to the shakeing, but this one, in the comunity of maipu was poorly built with lots of cut corners and low quality cement and steel. It is now tilted dangeriously to the side, leaning into the parking area where it was supported by thin collumns.
